The familiar Diva shape that saves you from explaining things
The Diva smart dimmer looks like a normal dimmer. Paddle on the top. Slider on the side. Soft glow light bar so you can find it in the dark.
It doesn't scream "smart home." It whispers "this is easy."
Customers can walk up and use it without a tutorial. They tap the paddle to turn it on. They slide the slider to dim it. They double-tap for full brightness. They hold it for a slow fade to off.
It does all the normal dimmer things. It also does the smart things when they're ready for that.
The Smart Hub: the real reason you won't get a callback
The Smart Hub is the part that saves you from phone calls.
Lutron's Clear Connect RF technology does not use the customer's Wi-Fi network for device communication. That means no weak signal, no router changes, no "the app stopped working because we switched internet providers."
It also means you're not troubleshooting a smart home that got smarter than the homeowner.
The Smart Hub unlocks the whole system: app control, voice control, scenes, schedules, Smart Away, GPS-based automation, and integration with Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant.

The Pico remote: no new wire, no new holes
The Pico paddle remote is the "save the wall" device.
It's wireless. It mounts anywhere. It can control multiple switches and dimmers. It works from 30 feet through walls, 60 feet line-of-sight.
The customer wants a second control location without cutting the wall and pulling wire? That's what the Pico does.
Mount it on the wallplate bracket. Set it on a table. Keep it next to the bed. Whatever works for the customer — you don't have to rewire the house to make it happen.
The family: matching dimmers, switches, and remotes
Lutron built a whole family of paddle-style controls for Caséta. Here's what each one does and when to use it:

Use for: Standard smart dimming. Single pole, 3-way, or multi-location. No neutral required.

Use for: Broader load types. Neutral required. ELV, MLV, under-cabinet, track lighting.

When to use which dimmer
—The standard Diva smart dimmer works with existing wiring. No neutral needed. That's the one for most residential jobs: familiar dimming, familiar load ratings, familiar installation.
—The ELV+ version is the "know what you're installing" option. It needs a neutral. It handles more load types: ELV, MLV, under-cabinet, track lighting. Use it when the standard dimmer won't cut it.
—The Claro smart switch is for on/off only. No dimming. Use it for lights that shouldn't dim, or for fans where dimming is not appropriate.
—The smart accessory switch is for wired multi-location control when the customer wants real 3-way and the wiring is there. But it only works with Diva or Claro smart devices.
—The Pico remote is for wireless 3-way. No wires. No holes. Just mount and go.
3-way wiring: two ways to do it
Lutron gives you two options for 3-way and multi-location control:
Wired: Use the mechanical 3-way wiring or add the Claro smart accessory switch. It's clean, but it requires the existing wiring to cooperate.
Wireless: Use the Pico paddle remote. Add a second location anywhere without cutting walls or pulling wire. That's the time-saver when the customer wants a switch where no switch exists.
The question is not "can this do 3-way?" The better question is "what kind of 3-way makes sense for the job?"
